STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (ASSOCIATE DESIGNATE)

General Qualifications

Chartered status

Age 35-40 (indicative)

Self-motivated

Able to work on projects alone

Good communicator and report writer

Own client base (preferred)

Lives within 1 hour of Waltham Abbey

Driving Licence

Good health.

Experience (Essential)

MIStructE/FIStructE

Proficient in structural design (steel, concrete, timber & masonry)

Building investigations knowledge

Able to derive innovative design solutions

Computer literate

Experience (Preferred)

Refurbishment of buildings

Ability to administer engineering and building works contracts

Able to prepare project specifications

Party Wall Surveyor experience

CAD experience

Familiarity with subsidence claims

Project management

INNOVATIVE ENGINEER

 

As a result of continued expansion of our activities, we require a Civil/Structural Engineer with an innovative mind.  The applicant will be required to work on a variety of interesting projects involving the full range of structural materials, the appraisal of existing structures and report writing.  A proven ability to communicate with other disciplines is essential and familiarity with AutoCAD would be an asset.

RETIRED ENGINEER(S)

 

John Pryke & Partners are seeking to establish a panel of recently retired Engineers with a broad range of structural experience including site visits, report writing and general appraisal of structures.  Engagement would be on an ad-hoc basis for individual projects.  Remuneration would be by negotiation.  Individual Engineers would not be required to maintain their own Professional Indemnity Insurance.
